About Me
Hi there,
Chainsaw Larry is the name and as you probably already guessed, I love chainsaws!
The sound, the power, the shredding, everything about a chainsaw fills me with joy.
But I don't like to keep that joy to myself.
In fact, it brings me even more joy to share my knowledge about chainsaws with the world.
So, on this site you can expect to learn a bunch of tips and tricks when it comes to using chainsaws. Everything from how to clean a chainsaw, to keeping it running properly, ways to tune it up to work better at cutting trees, and so much more.
Most of the advice I give on this site is original; however, there is some overlap with my main ChainsawLarry.com site. If you want to see everything I've published, head over there to check that content out.
You'll find a lot of how-to articles as well as methods to keep your chainsaw running at peak performance.
Another thing I like to is rate and review chainsaws.
There are so many different types of chainsaws available today that it can be hard for a person who has no experience with these machines to find a good one.
So, another section of my site includes a list of the best rated chainsaws. That page reviews the top 10 chainsaws you can buy today sorted by category: gas, battery, and corded electric. It gives you a quick way to compare the best models so you can find one that's right for your needs.
I also has some specific articles on the best gas chainsaws, best electric chainsaws, best battery chainsaws, etc. You can find those guides below.
However, safety should always be your number one priority when using a chainsaw of any size.
That's why it's important to always wear the proper protection, such as a helmet, safety glasses, hear protection, long sleeve shirt and pants, chainsaw chaps, and cut-resistant gloves and boots.
You'd be surprised at how easy (and fast) a chainsaw kickback can occur even with the best chainsaw in your hands. All it takes is a split second for the chain to nick something or get pinched wrong between a piece of wood for it to rotate back toward you unexpectedly.
So, suit up with that protective gear each and every time you use your chainsaw.
And finally, I hope you enjoy all of the free tips and tricks I share on this site about chainsaws and how to pick the top chainsaw for your needs. Every person is different and they features they require to be happy with their purchase will vary. So, I've done my best to address those concerns in each an every buyer guide I post.
Examples of those include:
Happy sawing!
